// Mary Lattimore - Silver Ladders
This album will undoubtedly end up on many year end favorites lists - it’s that good. Lattimore’s harp continues to paint fresh, beautiful auditory pictures we’ve (perhaps unfairly) come to expect with each release. She enlisted production help from Slowdive’s Neil Halstead, who lends intricate guitar and synth touches to her compositions here. The end result is a patient mix of sparse and thoughtful, layered and ominous, twinkling and complex.
